Satan's PR Shop Say Prayer Ineffective
The Godless horde at the New York Times is trumpeting a MEDICAL STUDY that "proves" prayer has no impact on healing.
There you have it, Satan's mouthpiece says prayer is useless.

Bill Moyers, Free Press Phony
Bill Moyers, who created the state-sponsored Corporation for Public Broadcasting claiming it was necessary to provide truly free and fair journalism, routinely subverted the free press while Chief of Staff for Democratic President Lyndon Johnson. Near the end of an interesting piece in the Hill, Moyers reportedly quashed the publication of a photograph that might have embarassed his boss.
Moyers was also involved in illegally wiretapping the phones of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King.

A Tale of Two Spins
Yesterday, FISA court judges testified before Congress about President Bush's NSA terrorist surveillance program. Both the New York Times and the Washington Times have articles about it, but it's hard to tell it was the same event because of the spin.

Judges on Secretive Panel Speak Out on Spy Program
Gannon insider note: The NYT refers to Judge James Robertson as "former FISA court judge". He is also known to the newspaper as "Source".

Rummy Calls Out Showboating Journo

Conservative Blogger Getting "Gannonized"
Ben Domenech, welcome to my world! Editor & Publisher has a story about Lefty bloggers' reactions to the Washington Post trying to introduce a little balance to its hopelessly liberal newspaper. The same folks for whom "diversity" is a religion, have begun the smear campaign against someone who has a point of view they disagree with. It's just another attempt to take down a conservative by any means necessary. I expect this to get very, very personal.

Afghan Christian May Be Executed For Rejecting Islam
Ultimately, this man's life will likely be spared, but the troubling circumstances that made this story newsworthy probably won't change. Since this story has been talked to bits over the past few days, I'm going to take a different look at it.
Abdul Rahman told reporters that he would not renounce his faith even in the face of death. This man is willing to die for his faith, not with a bomb belt or a car packed with explosives seeking to kill innocents, but with the quiet dignity of a saved soul who knows the Peace of God.
Rahman is willing to die for his faith, are the rest of us willing to live for ours? What would happen if each of us publicly declared our faith in Jesus Christ just once today?

Old Media Bias Taking Its Toll
The decline of the Old Media is accelerating as evidenced by two stories today. First, a long-time reporter for the Associated Press is dismissed for posting an opinion column on the wire. Next, Gallup Polling is ending its association with CNN because of the networks falling viewership (which I contend is due to CNN’s bias.)

National Journal's Gay Activist Reporter

Carl Cannon of the National Journal posed this question to President Bush at today's press conference:
Mr. President, two years ago, Gavin Newsom, the Mayor of San Francisco, heard your State of the Union address, went back to California, and began authorizing the marriage of gay men and lesbians. Thousands of people got married. The California courts later ruled he had overstepped his bounds. But they were -- we were left with these pictures of thousands of families getting married, and they had these children, thousands of children. Now, that might have changed the debate, but it didn't. In light of that, my question is, are you still confident that society's interest and the interest of those children in gay families are being met by government saying their parents can't marry?

Old Media's Rush to Discredit Iraq Papers, Saddam Tapes
There should no longer be any doubt that the recently released papers captured in Iraq during the invasion have the potential to threaten the Old Media and Democratic claims of "Bush Lied" about Saddam's WMDs and terror links. Prepare for a wave of stories like that of MSNBC's "anonymous source" that reports the CIA "knew" that Iraq didn't have nuclear or chemical weapons. Don't overlook the CIA's role in this - there are plenty of people at Langley playing CYA.
Stay tuned. This is going to play itself out over the course of the next six months.

60's Flashback, 2006-Style
A slogan of the anti-war movement of the 1960s was: "What if they held a war and nobody came?"
Over the weekend, old hippies and young socialists organized protests across the counrty to mark the third anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. They demanded the immediate withdrawal of troops, the impeachment of George W. Bush, the end of occupation of Palestine and Haiti and other leftist causes. The trouble for them was that nobody showed up, nobody cared.
2006: "What if they held a war protest and nobody came?"
Losers.

Saddam - Al Qaeda Links, WMD Info in Documents
Thousands of documents captured by Coalition forces after the liberation of Iraq are beginning to be released by the Pentagon. The information contained in these Iraqi intelligence papers will likely have a significant impact on the debate over Saddam Husseins's WMD capabilities and his links to al Qaeda.
If you're wondering if the documents will destroy the claims of Democrats and the Old Media with regard to thses issues, you only have to know that these papers have been in the possession of the United States for three years and none of them were leaked to the Washington Post or the New York Times.
ABC News is reluctantly and cautiously reporting (and doing a bit of spinning as well) the story.

Libby Subpoenas Miller, NYT
In a delicious bit of irony, lawyers for Scooter Libby have delivered the first of many, many, many subpoenas to journalists and news organizations. Libby's defense team is turning the tables on the Old Media, who orchestrated the Valerie Plame affair into a major event when it is in fact, nothing.
What will be interesting to see, besides the information that is revealed, is the length to which the Old Media will go to stonewall Libby's lawyers. I am repeating my prediction of another bad year for what some are describing as the "dinosaur media".

No matter what they say about supporting the troops, protecting America and fighting terrorism, eventually Democrats revert to type. The Hill reports on House Democrats proposing a $60 billion cut in defense spending.
Democrats employed the same strategy in 1975 when they voted to withdraw funding for military operations in Southeast Asia. This appears to be the beginning of a similar move to ensure America's defeat in Iraq.

Bush Obsessed With Oval Office Rug
The Washington Post took a day off from printing national security secrets on its front page to run a story about President Bush's apparent fixation with the rug in the Oval Office. White House correspondent Peter Baker cites numerous instances of Bush bringing up how Laura Bush designed the carpet that covers the floor in his West Wing office.
I think Bush wants everyone to know that the Oval Office is different in every way from that of its previous occupant - all the way down to the rug that Monica Lewinsky crawled around on her hands and knees while "cavorting" with Bill Clinton.

Just when liberals thought they had convinced the world that 9/11 was Bush's fault, the facts of the case, that fanatical Islamofascists waged war against the United States on September 11, 2001 will be played out on the front pages all over again in an election year.
