Democrats lose another election
Iraqi voters turned out in record numbers today, despite threats of deadly violence to elect a permanent government for the first time in its history. The third successful election held in the country liberated by the U. S.-led coalition will deal a severe blow to two groups totally invested in American defeat in Iraq: Terrorists and Democrats.
Terrorists were unable to shake the will of President Bush to leave Iraq in the face of deadly attacks on soldiers and civilians. Likewise, Democrats failed to force the pullout of American troops before the historic event, despite having convinced Vietnam War veteran Rep. John Murtha to throw away any credibility he had on national defense issues by advocating a "cut and run" strategy of immediate withdrawal. The political ploy, along with the comments of DNC chairman Howard Dean, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and former presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry, firmly place the Democratic Party on the wrong side of history once again.
Sadly, today's election won't stop Chris Matthews, Joe Biden and Matt Lauer from continuing to root for civil war.
In answer to a comment made by the asinine Cindy Sheehan and her Code Pink and MoveOn.org enablers, this is the "noble cause":
Try honoring Casey's sacrifice instead of using it for shameful political antics.
