Another NY Daily News "fantasy"
New York Daily News gossip columnist Llyod Grove, not to be outdone by his colleague, Tom "DeFraud" DeFrank is breathlessly reporting that White House officials confessed to a Hollywood director that the war in Iraq had gone from "bad to worse." Grove says that writer-director Stephen Gaghan, whose "war for oil and empire" film "Syriana" has just been released, got this information at an "off the record" luncheon with unnamed White House officials.
Let me get this right: Anonymous sources inside the White House gave information damaging to the Bush administration - freely given to a liberal Hollywood director! It defies logic but the Bush-bashers at the NY Daily News just lap it up without question.
Ken Bazinet, the White House correspondent for the newspaper, who I personally know to be a decent fellow must be humiliated by his employer's politically driven dishonesty diguised as impartial journalism.
